THINGS i spent an unhealthy amount of money on:

1. coffee

whether it’s a family outing or a casual meeting with friends, if there’s a cafe nearby, i always get myself a coffee. it’s not unhealthy right now but i’m sure i spend an unhealthy amount of money on coffee.

in my opinion, coffee is literally therapy in a bottle. there’s so many flavours of coffee- iced latte, iced americano, normal coffee, espresso, cold brew. the list of might be never ending, but coffee and all of its multiple variations will be the end of my wallet.

2. books

books? did you mean escapism on paper?

it’s hard to raid an entire bookstore, but i usually try my best. while i don’t own multiple copies of the same book, i always like to at least browse through the books in the unlikely chance that i don’t pick one up! a trip to the bookstore means finding titles you’d never seen before and telling your friends to buy the ones you have seen.

3. stationery

this was exemplified by the fact that one of my friends in school also spends an exorbitantly high amount of money on stationery too- she’s obsessed with keychains and labels.

i think my obsession is hence justified.

4. CANTEEN FOOD

i didn’t even know the amount of money i was spending in my school canteen until i walked up to the counter with my pockets broke. even if you spend just 30 bucks a day by the time we hit the end of the month, it’s already 900 bucks.

if that doesn’t crack a hole in your wallet, i don’t know what else does.

  1. Haha this is a reality check. I relate so much especially the canteen one. Everyday, after school it’s just barging into shops and idk just buying something- even if it’s a piece fo gum. The hole in the wallet- the nightmare which gets real every.single.day.🙂🙃

  2. I can relate to you! I’m a person who loves going out, so I always need to put a budget for myself which usually doesn’t happen. Coffee is an essential, I have to buy one whenever I’m out! Also, I seriously cannot resist buying books and stationary when I see them in front of me
